Sutherland Little Athletics Awards
To be eligible for any award at the end of the season an athlete must have at least a 70% attendance rate from the date of registration and to have returned to competition after the Christmas break. Please note: that as well as regular attendance from the athletes, parents are required to have completed duty throughout the season. There will be no variation to these rules. For extended illness/injury, a letter to the president must be provided.
Age Champions
First, second and third place trophies are presented to the male and female athletes in each age group who have the highest number of aggregated “Event Place” points.
Improvement Awards
First, second and third place trophies are presented to male and female athletes in each age group who have the highest number of aggregated “Improvement (PB) Points” without securing an Age Champion award.
Endeavour Award
Awarded to the athlete who has achieved the highest overall improvement during the season.
Club Champions
Multi points are awarded for each athlete’s results for each as determined by LANSW. This allows athletes to be measured against state-wide standards – better the time/distance, the greater the points. The Club Champion awards are presented to the male and female athletes (Jnr 6 to 11 years, Snr 12 to 17 years) who have achieved the highest number of multi-points.
Athlete Of The Year
This trophy is awarded to the athlete who has achieved the highest cumulative points totals at the LANSW Zone, Region and State Championships at the end of each season.
The President’s Award
This is awarded to a member who has shown above average courage or has striven to achieve the tenets of Little Athletics to an exceptional degree, as selected by the President.
Service Awards
These awards are for athletes who have been with registered with Sutherland Little Athletics continuously for 5 years and 10 years. The 10 years continuous service is also recognised by LANSW with the presentation of a certificate.

This award recognises the extraordinary contribution of our volunteers, upon which our sport is so reliant
